A reliable solution offering more uptime
One of the early adopters of the nyloflex Xpress thermal processing organisation, Label Tech Inc. of Somersworth, New Hampshire, was intrigued with the synergistic approach taken by Flint Group in the development of its thermal plate processor. Characterization Tech had been experiencing difficulties with its electric current platemaking arrangement and needed a more reliable solution for the production of its premium quality, pressure-sensitive labels.
Implementation
For client-axial Characterization Tech, ensuring on-time deliveries with top quality products was a must-solve consequence. The company therefore decided to go the nyloflex Xpress thermal processor, which replaced an existing system that lacked support and was causing delays in production. "Similar whatever label store, we accept some very demanding deadlines. We were running into delays because nosotros'd accept an issue with the plate processor merely could not become the response nosotros needed," explains Jonathan Routhier, prepress manager at Characterization Tech.
Deadlines don't stop!
The technologies team of Anderson & Vreeland (A&V), a benefactor of Flint Group, and A&V regional director, Peter Espana, recommended the nyloflex Xpress thermal processor. "It is a similar concept to our older machine, but the Xpress is a modernistic blueprint that uses a system of plate materials and other consumables that are meant to work together," says Routhier. "We observe the plates practice a better chore of transferring ink to the substrates so colors are more saturated, and there is also less plate distortion."
Characterization Tech press operators also similar that the plates used in the nyloflex Xpress processor are more durable. "The other plates almost had to exist babied, handled with extra intendance," says Routhier. "For case, they had to be stored with a foam layer betwixt plates, considering they were soft and could easily be dented or damaged. The plates used in the Flint Grouping system don't require as much special handling."
Issue
Since the new machine came online over a twelvemonth ago, day-to-24-hour interval advantages have shown upward as amend productivity along with fewer registration issues, considering plates need less on-press adjusting.
"The nyloflex Xpress thermal processor goes to piece of work faster and more than easily than the machine it replaced. Customers don't necessarily find the difference, but with the nyloflex Xpress processor we definitely see a difference in the quality of the labels we produce," shares Routhier.
